Many thanks to those who came out on a blustery evening for the Salt Water Media book signing on Friday. It was so good to speak to readers and friends. Sharon, Colbi, Amy, Chris, Tim and a host of Becca's friends made the evening a great one. Stephanie and Patty of Salt Water--you are terrific!
If anyone wants a signed copy of either novel, write me at tsugrad82@gmail.com. The ESWA meeting on Saturday(10/10) was a fine one at the Easton Club to roll out the 7th edition of The Delmarva Review. Great introductions to the contents of this ambitious volume (200 pages!) and intrigue build particularly by George Merrill concerning the diverse offerings under the essay moniker. We are discussing ESWA appearances at area book festivals and professional conferences. Gaithersburg is hopefully our next venture out in May. I am entertaining ideas for a writer's retreat weekend during the doldrums of winter after the Christmas holidays. After every workshop I attend, I want to simply sit and write. The ideas swirl and gather during these events, but real life intrudes too quickly with dinner preparations, dog walks and homework. How about a weekend off the phone, the internet, laundry and stove to discuss narrative creation with other fellow scribblers? Why not wallow a bit?
